Whether we're organizing in our workplaces or at the polls, when we stand together, we win. Here's what you need to know to vote with the working families of Texas in the upcoming election.

Prop 3

Prop 3 Seeks to create a tax haven for Texas mega-millionaires and billionaires, by preemptively prohibiting a so-called “wealth tax” which has not even been considered or proposed. This amendment does nothing for working families, and serves only to protect the wealth of the privileged few at all costs.

Vote NO on Prop 3.

Prop 8

Prop 8 will create a state Broadband Infrastructure Fund coupled with an infusion of $1.5 billion in state funds to expand broadband access. We support funding that increases broadband access, but it needs to come with fair labor standards that ensure the creation of good telecom jobs.

Vote YES on Prop 8 AND sign CWA’s petition demanding the Broadband Infrastructure Fund includes labor standards that benefit Texas workers.

Prop 9

After two decades without a single cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), retired educators in Texas will finally receive a pension increase with the passage of Proposition 9.

We need to show up for those who dedicated their lives to the children of our state -- vote YES on Prop 9 AND sign up to help Texas AFT retirees get out the vote.

Election Day is November 7th, early voting began October 23rd. Go to https://www.votetexas.gov/ to make your voting plan. We'll see you at the polls!
