Press Conference: COVID-19

The Texas AFL-CIO will hold a news conference to address Texas workplace issues surrounding the coronavirus and call for work-related actions by public officials and employers to help in the battle against the illness. The news conference will take place 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, in the Texas AFL-CIO Becky Moeller Auditorium, 1106 Lavaca St., in downtown Austin. (Limited parking will be available for the event.) Texas AFL-CIO President Rick Levy will be joined by members of unions who are on the front lines in trying to stop spread of the illness, as well as Texas working people who face work stoppages, business interruptions and no access to paid sick time.
