Meeting #2: Citizenship Initiative Strategy

The Texas AFL-CIO Citizenship Initiative Strategy Session was a successful start to a program of expanding union participation in citizenship drives in Texas. We thank the more than 30 participants from unions, constituency groups and Central Labor Councils who contributed mightily to the success of the meeting.

Next step: Unions and labor organizations committed to identifying and sending coordinators for a training on the nuts and bolts of setting up a Citizenship Drive, to be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 26 in the Texas AFL-CIO Becky Moeller Auditorium, 1106 Lavaca St., in downtown Austin.
