Workers Memorial Day, April 28, is just a few weeks away.  In workplaces and communities across the country and around the globe, unions, workers and allies will come together to remember workers who have been injured and killed, and to organize for safe jobs.

After years of struggle, we have won new rules to protect workers from deadly silica dust and beryllium, a tougher coal dust standard for miners and stronger anti-retaliation protections for workers who report job injuries.

All of these hard-won gains are threatened as the Trump administration, Republicans in Congress and business groups have launched an all-out assault on worker rights and protections. We must fight back. We cannot and will not let them turn back the clock and destroy the progress we have made to make jobs safer and save lives.
