GRASSROOTS LOBBY TRAINING

The Texas Gulf Coast Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO is hosting a GRASSROOTS LOBBY TRAINING to educate our members on issues that affect the different sectors of organized labor.
The training is aimed to: 1) to explore the role of lobbying as a part of a larger strategic campaign for influencing the political process; 2) to explore and understand some basic principles for effective lobbying; and 3) to teach strategies (messaging) for effective lobbying and provide a chance to apply and practice them in a friendly role play format first, then in an actual setting.
