Over two days (Monday and Tuesday, August 28 and 29) participants will learn:
- The role digital organizing can play throughout your entire organization
- Some of the basic strategies of email writing, social media, and online advertising
- How to build an offline and online strategy that works together and how to then measure the results
- Basic online security practices
The training is co-sponsored by the Texas Gulf Coast Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO and the New Leaders Council Houston. Space is limited to 30 people.

The first round of registration is open to union officers, staff, or members designated by their local’s leadership to receive training as digital organizers.

Through Friday, July 21, 20 seats will be held for union members designated by affiliates of the Gulf Coast AFL-CIO to be trained as digital organizers. After that members of the New Leaders Council and our region’s broad progressive community will be invited to register for the remaining spots.

Please get authorization from your union’s leadership to participate in this training before registering.

The $65 fee includes 2 days of training. Participants should bring a laptop computer and a lunch from home or cash for lunch.
