Union Printers

Authorized Union Printers List
Look for the Union bug!

The Texas Gulf Coast Area Labor Federation expects all candidates seeking an AFL-CIO endorsement to use a local union printer for all of their printing needs. Please make certain that the printer with whom you are considering doing business is on the authorized Union Printers list available here.

The "Union bug" is your assurance of quality and craftsmanship and that the men and women who work on your printed materials receive good wages and benefits in plants that practice responsible labor-management relations.

Some non-union printers occasionally tell candidates they are union to get your business. Rather than taking their word at face value, be sure any printer you are considering utilizing is on the authorized Union Printers list listed above.

The Printing, Publishing, and Media Workers Sector of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) and the Graphic Communications Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (GCC-IBT) make up the Allied Label. Look and ask for the International Allied Printing Trades Council label – the familiar “bug” – on all printed material.

The International Allied Printing Trades Council label is a registered trademark and, therefore, protected by federal and state laws governing such trademarks. Illegal use of the Allied Label is a violation of federal copyright laws.
