Communications Workers led a rally at Senator Cruz's office on Hall Street on December 7. Dallas AFL-CIO and other groups backed them in demanding a "no" vote on the Republican tax giveaway and budget cut bill now in the reconciliation process.

These days, it’s hard to keep straight all of Congress’ efforts to build plutocracy — the further consolidation of the power of the richest Americans at the expense of the rest of us.

About two dozen candidates received a cordial welcome at the Dallas AFL-CIO Central Labor Council meeting on November 16, but only State Representative Roberto Alonzo received two standing ovations!
