AFL-CIO president, Richard Trumka, published a new column on Huffington Post. He writes how Hillary roots for working people and why working people are championing her in tonight's presidential debate.

Herb Keener of Communications Workers Local 6215 taught a class on the book “Runaway Inequality” at 1408 N Washington in Dallas on September 17. We began with a long list of progressive movements over the centuries. Herb said that those movements have to find a way to work together if we are to succeed.

Principal officer Mark York bragged on the Dallas AFL-CIO leadership team at the beginning of the Central Labor Council meeting on September 15. A standing ovation followed. As different union leaders made their reports, one could see why.

Some of the best North Texans in the Worker Justice Movement came together at 1408 N Washington on September 15. Topics included the Fort Worth Musicians Strike, Saturday's class on "Runaway Inequality," election work opportunities, and the new organizer for the Texas New Era/Jobs with Justice Coalition.
