You are the key to winning for working families this November. Backing you are local unions in your area, the Dallas labor federation, the state federation, and the national AFL-CIO.

The Dallas AFL-CIO Political Committee met on July 29 and is primed for action. Texas AFL-CIO President Rick Levy said that the polling may look positive for working families this year, but we take nothing for granted and will go all-out for victory. He said that the entire state team is backing Texas Political Director Lorraine Montemayor, a graduate of the Dallas labor movement, as the wheels of progress begin grinding. Montemayor is calling for legions of volunteers to do the grass-level work that leads to victory. Training is free. Volunteer at admin@dallasaflcio.org.

HEROES Act is Priority

Our national focus continues to be saving the nation from the health, economic, and racial justice crises. Call Senators to urge them to pass the $3 trillion HEROES Act instead of any band-aid approach. We are asked to call 1-866-832-1560 for the HEROES Act instead of the inadequate proposal that recently came from Republican leader Mitch Mcconnell.
