Dallas AFL-CIO activists and our friends from all over the country rallied August 13 in solidarity with airline catering workers from Sky Chef. The action took place at the palatial new headquarters of American Airlines.

Mark York and other labor leaders said that preparation for the event was a model for winning progressive causes. In several ways, the action set precedents of solidarity. Many of the Sky Chef workers are immigrants. Community and civil rights groups joined a very diverse labor crowd. Religious leaders gave strong leadership. Social media and “earned” commercial media coverage revealed our action to the entire world!
