The fight is on for working families. Some of labor's highly-screened candidates face runoffs on July 14. The outcomes have long-term consequences. With everything we have, your AFL-CIO backs the candidates that we so carefully selected. Everyone can help. Volunteer at https://actionnetwork.org/forms/i-will-organize. Why It Matters

Working families are in a fight for our lives. Record unemployment is matched with record high Coronavirus infections. Two of the biggest employers in North Texas, American Airlines and AT&T, are threatening massive layoffs this month. Full-time jobs are being converted to part-time, and the national pay cut is estimated at10%. Government officials are deliberately disregarding worker safety. Our democratic right to organize and even to vote are hard-pressed by government attack. Your Dallas AFL-CIO continues monthly strategic planning meetings, even though we have had to go to the highest level of security, without telephone access, for our on-line meetings.

Join the Fightback!

The AFL-CIO fights back. Priority national campaigns include passing the HEROES Act for economic relief (click: https://actionnetwork.org/forms/heroesact), and saving the post office (Dial 844-402-1001 for Senators) .  Our state federation streams a weekly news meeting at 5PM every Monday and a variety of helpful organizing events.

Your Dallas AFL-CIO has redoubled organizing and information-sharing efforts. We reach thousands on radio, podcasting, print, web page, e-blasts, text, virtual meetings, and social media. We have the only pro-worker radio show in Texas: https://www.facebook.com/events/653891981866056/
