Angela DeFilippo of Tarrant Central Labor Council reports that “close to $15,000” in cash has been pledged for the locked-out refinery workers in the Beaumont area. Dallas AFL-CIO, Tarrant AFL-CIO, Young Active Labor Leaders, and a number of allies joined in the effort for a happy Christmas in the Golden Triangle. Toys for the children are already being delivered.

The Steelworkers are not on strike. They were locked out on May 1st. On-line contributions to the DFW effort can continue through today. Contribute on-line here.

Labor Parties!

At the Dallas AFL-CIO Christmas Party on December 16, more than $1,100 was pledged to our brothers and sisters in Beaumont. Mariah Warwick and the Political Committee arranged a gala affair in East Dallas. Union people can be proud of our accomplishments in 2021 as solidarity shoots up.

We're getting ready to do even more as election season begins. A large number of candidates signed in for our Christmas Party. They want labor's endorsement.
