Dallas labor will join the Tarrant County AFL-CIO and the state federation in a rally at 2 PM Thursday at the Walmart store, 7451 McCart Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76133. Get details and sign up on the Facebook event. Over 100 have already signed up to come, including Montserrat Garibay, Secretary Treasurer of the Texas AFL-CIO.

The AFL-CIO has been assisting the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Union (BCTGM) in waging a campaign against Mondelez (the parent company to Nabisco) on their policy of outsourcing U.S. based, union-made products (Oreo, Chips Ahoy, Ritz) to Mexico where they reportedly pay workers about $1 per hour. Mondelez is feeling the pressure and has recently announced it was replacing its CEO on November 1.
As part of escalating pressure on the company and raising awareness about their outsourcing policies, Thursday, November 16th has been designated the Big Box Store National Day of Action.  Please Join Us.
