A strong resolution on paid sick leave for all workers was adopted by the Dallas AFL-CIO Central Labor Council on March 15. Its purpose is to show that the Dallas Central Labor Council supports paid sick days for all workers.
The resolution explains that large numbers of Dallas workers lack paid sick leave.
The resolution was introduced to the labor federation by Travis Cantwell, an activist with the Young Active Labor Leaders (YALL). He credited Angi DeFillipo and DJ Garza.

Election Push to Begin
Dallas labor’s political director, Lorraine Montemayor, reviewed election returns from the March 6 primary election, then laid out plans for our next effort. Screening and new endorsements will take place in a few races, then our all-out effort will begin on Saturday, March 31 with a kickoff event followed by canvassing and phone banking.

The Texas AFL-CIO is looking to hire part-time field organizers in Dallas or Fort Worth area. They are seeking energetic and passionate individuals interested in organizing working-class communities for better jobs, better pay, better schools, and for a fair shot for every working family. Canvassers will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in one of the above mentioned areas, to engage potential voters around issues and civic engagement. They are looking to hire now through November 6th.
