The battlefront for working families is wide. The Dallas AFL-CIO fights in every arena. The April 19 Central Labor Council meeting discussed strategies for several important campaigns. Contact Lorraine Montemayor at 214-448-1557 or lmontemayor.dallasaflcio@gmail.com to see how you can help.

* We intend to win the Dallas School Board election in District#9 for labor-endorsed candidate Bernadette Nutall

* We have endorsed these candidates to win in the Texas primary runoff:

* We will oppose efforts to undermine the right to public education

Is Labor Ambitious?

Working people are on the move across the United States. The powerful and successful coalitions around school employees in several states are inspiring everyone. The Transport Union (TWU) just organized 4,000 new flight attendants.

Locally, our success rate in Texas and Dallas County elections is high. Labor’s voice is being heard in important government and community organizations. We know what we’re doing and we have great opportunities while unemployment is low and discontent is high. Now is the time for action!
