Mark York of the Dallas AFL-CIO encourages turnout to end the government shutdown and to save local jobs. Important Dallas rallies take place Tuesday, January 8, and Thursday, January 10.

Fight the shutdown with American Federal Government Employees

Dallas activists begin at 11AM on Tuesday at Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) headquarters. Management intends to privatize more transit jobs. Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1338, along with the North Texas Transit Riders Association, will demand that they act in the public interest. Government employees are mobilizing all across the country on January 10. They will march on the White House. See https://www.facebook.com/events/2162568740504486/. Our local event begins at 11:30 AM at the EPA Headquarters, 1445 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75202. AFGE Local 1003 President Jeanne Schulze (nettieschulze@gmail.com, 214-763-1379calls for every labor and environmental activist to join the rally.
