We will celebrate labor's victories and set ourselves to new challenges at Labor Dayevents on Saturday and Monday.

Reverend Ed Middleton organized the annual Workers Rights Board hearing and march for 10 AM on Saturday, September 3 at the Martin Luther King Jr Center, 2901 MLK Blvd in Dallas. The event begins in one of the buildings on the south side of the complex and will end with a short march around the area. Among the speakers, CWA's Herb Keener will invite everyone to read Les Leopold's new book, Runaway Inequality. Dallas labor's candidate Victoria Neave will provide political insights.

The annual Labor Day Breakfast, for the first time in memory, sold out of tickets! We will honor women in labor at Edison's, 1724 Cockrell Avenue in Dallas.

Unions Are Part of "Dallas Strong!"

AFL-CIO leader Mark York led a delegation of union activists to the headquarters of the Fraternal Order of Police on September 1. York and several of the unions represented brought contributions to the Fallen Officers Fund in commemoration of the July 7 tragedy downtown. Dallas labor continues its commitment to being a major leader for progress.
