Dallas unionists join the statewide effort to confront anti-unionism in the legislature.

The bills would prohibit one and only one kind of paycheck deduction available to Texas public employees -- the right to pay their union dues! This effort is clearly anti-democratic, anti-union, and anti-worker. Call now!

AFL-CIO Joins Teamster and Transport Worker Battles

On July 26, North Texas Teamsters were led by national leader Ken Hall in opposing unsafe practices by the McKeeson drug company. Dallas AFL-CIO members joined the effort to push McKesson, a major manufacturer of dangerous opiod drugs that faces a number of expensive lawsuits, to act responsibly.

Later that same day, AFL-CIO leaders from Dallas, Tarrant, and the state federation joined a thousand members of three Transport Workers Union locals in demanding a fair contract with American Airlines. The picket line covered the entire front entrance of Terminal "D" at DFW Airport and went on through most of the day.

Solidarity for All!

We stand for all working people. Communications Workers of American District 6 Director Claude Cummings issued this statement after President Trump tweeted his most recent chauvinistic pronouncement: "Wednesday, July 26th was a sad day for the human rights of all Americans - in particular the LGBTQ community. I strongly condemn the Administration's recent and reprehensible attacks on LGBTQ Americans. "
