The campaign has already accomplished a great deal. Every time we make contact with a Dallas voter, we move forward. When the issue shows up on the November ballot, everyone will learn about the importance of getting paid sick leave for every worker in the city.

Come to 1408 N. Washington on Saturday and Sunday to help bring this vital improvement to working families!

Festival Planning Underway

The Dallas AFL-CIO and KNON radio are joining together to stage a celebration of Woody Guthrie’s birthday on July 14. During his lifetime, Woody Guthrie was a stalwart for the labor movement and one of the most innovative artists of all time. Songs like “You Gotta Go Down and Join the Union” are American masterpieces.

Gerardo Contreras of UAW 848 will bring his “train” barbecue rig. Outstanding activists like Kenny Winfree, Linda Coleman, and James Kille are already on board.
