February 12 is the last day for candidates to file for the May 1 election for Dallas City Council. Those who seek an AFL-CIO endorsement are finding our questionnaire and other important information on our web site.
AFL-CIO supporters may want to urge their favorite candidates to fill out the questionnaire. Without it, they will not be interviewed for endorsements on February 27.
Activists are particularly interested in candidates who are also union members. For example, Ada F Goring is running in a special February 27 election for the Grand Prairie City Council. She is both a CWA and UAW retiree.
Labor doesn’t just promote candidates. Election activists could choose other ways to participate, but those who volunteer with the AFL-CIO will be building a labor movement that will be effective far beyond election day. Please get on board.
