Your Turn!

You have a lot of opportunities to change your world. Picket lines, organizing drives, and elections are calling you to make a better future.

Flight attendants all over the country are picketing on Tuesday, February 13. Our own Transport Workers Local 556 at Southwest Airlines will picket at 11 AM at Love Field. Register to help.

Flight attendants from other unions picket at DFW Terminal D on the same date and time. The airline corporations have stalled on contract negotiations way too long!

Organizing drives are popping up everywhere. Texas AFL-CIO President Rick Levy was recently quoted: “The number of new unions that are forming here is more than any time I can remember!"

Turn Out the Vote

Texas AFL-CIO completed its candidate endorsement process last week and we posted them on our web site. Dallas AFL-CIO expects to complete our endorsements of local candidates on February 15 and post them the next day. On the day that early voting begins, we’ll be downtown with some of our favorite candidates to urge everyone to get out the vote. Join us at 10AM February 20 at the County Courthouse, 600 Commerce. It’s a fun gathering and signifies our commitment to winning for working families!
